About Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) originates from osteopathy and uses light, hands-on touch to relieve tension and reduce chronic pain. This gentle manual therapy focuses on evaluating and improving the craniosacral system. The craniosacral system includes membranes, bones, and cerebrospinal fluid that protect the central nervous system.

By normalizing the environment around the brain and spinal cord, BCST enhances the body’s natural ability to heal and self-correct. It blends Western science, including anatomy and physiology, with a holistic approach to health and vitality.

A unique element of BCST is the “biodynamic touch,” where therapists maintain a neutral, non-invasive presence. This allows the client’s body to lead the healing process. BCST effectively addresses chronic pain, stress-related conditions, and emotional challenges by supporting the nervous system and improving overall well-being.

About Your BCST session

BCST Initial Consultation

BCST is best experienced over a series of a few sessions, to get best results and support your body’s natural healing process three sessions is recommended. This allows Sade to track your progress and build on each session.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy works by tapping into your body’s natural rhythms and promoting self-healing. During a session, you’ll lie fully clothed on a treatment table while Sade uses light, non-invasive touch to assess the movements of your craniosacral system. These movements, or “waves,” are subtle but significant, as they reflect the health of your entire body.

Sade’s role as a therapist is to listen to these movements and encourage the release of any tension or blockages. The therapy is completely non-invasive, meaning there’s no manipulation or force involved. Instead, BCST works by supporting your body’s inherent healing abilities, allowing you to feel more balanced and in tune with yourself. Over time, many people find that their overall health improves, both physically and emotionally.

If you’re in or around Bristol and looking for a natural way to support your health, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy could be the answer. Reach out today to schedule your first session and experience the benefits for yourself.

Feelings and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Sensations and reactions

You may feel warmth, tingling, gentle pulsing, or a sense of relaxation spreading through your body.

Emotional Release

Some people experience emotional releases as the body lets go of stored tension and trauma.

Deep relaxation

It’s common to enter a state of deep relaxation, similar to a meditative state, where you might feel as if you’re drifting in and out of sleep.

Post session

After the BCST session, the therapist may discuss any observations and answer any questions you have. It’s often recommended to drink plenty of water after the session to help flush out any released toxins.

After effects

After a BCST session there is occasionally a short period of adjustment as part of the healing process where you may become more aware of symptoms. Sometimes people report relief after only one or two sessions. For long-standing problems further sessions may be needed.
